ECB raises base rate

March 17, Fineko/abc.az. Following the meeting on Thursday, the European Central Bank (ECB) raised the base rate by 50 basis points to 3.5%.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the ECB.

The rate on deposits has been increased to 3% and on short-term loans of the ECB to 3.75%.

The ECB expects inflation to remain "too high" for a long time.
