March 30, Fineko/abc.az. The current account surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments for 2022 amounted to $8.29 bn.
ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the balance of payments of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan for 2022. It was noted that this is 2.8 times more than in 2021.
So, in 2021, the current account balance amounted to $8.3 bn.
The total account is formed due to the remainder of $27.359 bn (2.4-fold more) in the balance of foreign trade, deficit of 1.359 bn (38% less) in the balance of services, deficit of $5.487 million (4.1-fold more) in the balance of primary revenue and remainder of $2.965 bn (6.4-fold more) in the balance of secondary revenue.
By the end of the year, Azerbaijan will be able to supply gas to Hungary and Serbia, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the official opening ceremony of the 28th International Caspian Oil&Gas Exhibition (Caspian Oil & Gas) within the Baku Energy Week.
