March 30, Fineko/abc.az. The total number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad amounted to 218,000 people for Jan-Feb 2023 (18.3% more against Jan-Feb 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Georgia increased 1.5-fold, to Turkiye by 15.9%, to the Russian Federation by 8.4%, to Iran by 15.5%. 39.7% of the country's citizens visited Turkiye, 22.8% - the Russian Federation, 9.9% - Georgia, 8.4% - Iran, 19.2% - other countries.

70% of those who left were men, 30% were women.

Over Jan-Feb 2023, 29.7% of Azerbaijani citizens who visited foreign countries used rail and road transport, 67.8% - by air, and 2.5% - by sea.
