March 30, Fineko/abc.az. The money transfers from Azerbaijan abroad amounted to $664.798 million last year.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that compared with the indicator of 2021, money transfers from Azerbaijan increased by 0.5% in 2022.

According to the CBA, Turkiye ranks first among the countries to which money transfers were made by individuals from Azerbaijan - $173.894 million (decline of 4.2%). Turkiye accounted for 26.2% of all transfers from Azerbaijan for the year (in 2021 - 27.4%).

Top 5 of countries to which individuals in Azerbaijan made transfers also includes: the USA - $136.824 million (2.7-fold growth), the Russian Federation - $90.439 million (22.9% decline), Georgia - $59.322 million (24.6% decline) and the UK - $31.27 million (decline by 31.9%).

In 2021, individuals money transfers of individuals to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.133 bn (a rise of 3.6% versus 2020) and from Azerbaijan - $661.512 million (+18.9%).
