Italy's national debt reached a historic high in February 2023

April 17, Fineko/abc.az. In February 2023, the size of Italy's public debt increased by another €21.6 bn reached a historic high of €2.772 trillion, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the central bank of the country.

Prior to that, the record was set in June 2022, when the size of the Italian national debt exceeded €2.77 trillion for the first time.

If to divide the current national debt by all residents of Italy, everyone would owe €46,960.
