Azerbaijan spent over $6.6 bn on reconstruction works in Karabakh for 3 years

May 4, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 3 years, Azerbaijan has spent more than $6.6 bn on reconstruction works in Karabakh.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said this during his speech at the 56th annual meeting of the Board of Heads of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Noting that the entire physical and social infrastructure was completely destroyed during the occupation, Sharifov said that before the restoration work was conducted, it was necessary to carry out mine clearance work.

Stressing that over the past 3 years more than $6.6 bn has been spent on restoration and reconstruction work, the minister pointed out that due to its strategic geographical location, the region has great economic potential.
