May 12, Fineko/abc.az. NBC Universal's head of advertising, Linda Yaccarino, is in talks to become CEO of Twitter, ABC.AZ reports with reference to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Linda Yaccarino has worked at NBCU for more than 10 years, since 2011.

The day before, Twitter owner Elon Musk announced that his position of CEO of the social network will be occupied by a woman, he did not disclose her name.

She is expected to start working in about 6 weeks, and he himself will move to the position of executive chairman and technical director.

Elon Musk bought Twitter in October 2022 for $44 bn and laid off 80% of employees.

In February, he jokingly appointed his dog as the CEO of the social network.
