May 15, Fineko/abc.az. In 2022, hourly wages increased the most in Lithuania, Estonia and Croatia, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Eurostat. So, in 2022, the average hourly wage in the European Union countries was 22.9 euro (4.4% more than in 2021).
Hourly wages in the eurozone have increased among all the countries of the Union. The smallest growth occurred in Italy, Malta and Finland (+2.3% each).
The largest growth occurred in Lithuania (+13.4%), Estonia (+8.8%) and Croatia (+8.7%).
Hourly wages have also increased in all EU countries outside the eurozone.
The smallest growth was observed in Denmark (+2.2%) and Sweden (+3.0%), and the largest — in Hungary (+16.4%), Bulgaria (+15.5%), Romania (+12.3%) and Poland (+11.7%).
