May 16, Fineko/abc.az. Let's admit that children are going to school less now. For example, for 10 years I went to school on Saturdays and studied for 2 years more than the current children, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Science & Education Minister Emin Amrullayev as saying this at a briefing.

According to the minister, the longer the school year, the better for the future of children:

"In developed countries, holidays do not start in summer, but in winter. And we have a three-month vacation. As an educator, I can say that the longer the duration of training, the better it will be. In my opinion, it would be advisable to start studying in schools from September 1. But it's just a wish."
