May 19, Fineko/abc.az. A set of measures taken to increase employment opportunities and legalize informal employment allows the number of employment contracts to continue to grow.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of the Population, for Jan-Apr 2023 the number of employment contracts in our country increased by 17,400, or by 1%, amounting to 1.76 million.

Consistent wage reforms and a regular increase in the number of employment contracts also lead to steady increase in the wage fund. From January to April 2023, the salary fund increased by another 8.5%.

As a whole, over the past 5 years there has been increase in the number of employment contracts by 34% and in the wage fund by 2.5 times.
