Gazprom's net profit fell by 41.4% in 2022

May 24, Fineko/abc.az. The net profit of Russian energy company Gazprom fell by 41% compared with 2021 to 1.2 trillion rubles (about $15.3 bn) in 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that Gazprom's statement says that company's revenue increased from 10.2 trillion rubles last year to 11.6 trillion rubles against the previous year.

Company's net profit in 2022 dropped by 41% compared with 2021 to 1.2 trillion rubles, and despite this decrease, the company received a high level of profit.

As the main cause for the decline in company profits, the statement indicates an increase in tax payments in the 2nd half of last year.
