June 1, Fineko/abc.az. From June 1, that is, from today, citizens who have not insured their homes will be fined.

Speech is about apartments with state registration and extract. With the launch of the new electronic system of compulsory real estate insurance, this process will be carried out automatically.

Lawyer Rahim Khoysky said these fines, although they were provided for by the legislation earlier, were not applied as a result of weak establishment of the relationship of the executive bodies.

But the system's electronics will strengthen control over the mechanism. Nevertheless, there are still certain gaps and uncertainties in the mechanism of imposing fines.

Khoysky added that fined citizens will be fined again in 20 days if they do not insure their real estate. He added that when insurance companies call citizens and force them to conclude an insurance contract in various ways, they violate the law.

It should be noted that for uninsured real estate, a fine of 30 manats will be imposed on individuals, 80 manats on officials, and 200 manats on legal entities.

The amount of compulsory housing insurance is 50 manats in Baku, 40 manats in Ganja, Sumgait and Nakhchivan and 30 manats in other districts.
