June 1, Fineko/abc.az. During the customs clearance of passenger cars imported into the customs territory of Azerbaijan (with exception of rare automobiles cars and cars temporarily imported into the customs territory of Azerbaijan), 4 years have passed since their release, as well as during the state technical inspection of vehicles, a disposal fee will be paid to the Vehicle Recycling Fund.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on Industrial & Household Waste, which was discussed today at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Natural Resources, Energy & Ecology, Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

The payment by the declarants of the fee for the disposal of automobiles imported into the customs territory will be provided by the customs authorities. The disposal fee will be paid at the state technical inspection of the vehicle. The amount of the disposal fee will be determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, according to the year of manufacture of the motor vehicle.

If the law is adopted, these procedures will be applied from February 1, 2024.
