June 1, Fineko/abc.az. The transition to a funded system in connection with compulsory car insurance in Azerbaijan is not expected in the near future.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s chairman Taleh Kazimov stated about this at a meeting with a group of insurance agents the other day.

He noted that since the end of this March he has received proposals to create an insurance pool for compulsory car insurance. And he, having analyzed the state of the market, did not accept the offer. Kazimov also stressed that the insurance market cannot imagine its future activities without agents, however, the shortcomings arising in the activities of such agents should be eliminated.
