MP: Azerbaijan expects GDP growth rate to decline

June 7, Fineko/abc.az. This year, GDP growth rates are expected to decrease worldwide and in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Tair Mirkishili, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, stated about this at a meeting of the committee.

He added that it is logical that GDP growth rates in Azerbaijan are low: "This is a process that is going on in the world. But this is one of the factors affecting budget revenues."

Mirkishili emphasized that amid the processes taking place in the world, budget revenues in Azerbaijan are increasing more than by AZN 3 bn: "Our country faces very serious challenges."
