June 8, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has imposed restrictions on the import of live poultry and poultry meat from some countries, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA).

In order to protect against the spread of avian influenza, a ban has been imposed on the import of poultry products from Israel, Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation, the Argentine province of Entre Rios and the provinces of Napo, Pastasa, Morona Santiago, Canar of Ecuador.

At that, in order to strengthen control measures, an appeal was sent to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan to take appropriate measures with respect to vehicles arriving from the specified territories or passing through these countries in transit.
