Meeting with the Ambassador of Turkey to our country was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population

July 02, Fineko/abc.az. Meeting between the minister of labour and social protection of population Sahil Babayev and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to our country Erkan Ozarol was held.

S.Babayev informed the ambassador on reforms implemented in the areas of activities of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. Speaking about the existing cooperation in the field of labour, social protection and employment between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the minister said there is a great potential for further development of this cooperation. S.Babayev noted the importance of studying the experience of the fraternal country in topical areas such as labor market regulation, prevention of informal employment, improving the system of disability assessment, adaptation of criteria in this area to advanced international practice, rehabilitation and integration of persons with disabilities into society.

The minister highlighted the importance of the visit of the members of the Commission on Regulation and Coordination of Labour Relations to the fraternal country last year with the support of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan. He said that the Charter of the Center for Labour of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to be established in Baku, which is intended to be signed by 10 countries, has already been signed by Turkey and Azerbaijan. 

Emphasizing that bilateral friendly and fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have been developing each year, E.Ozoral stressed that successful cooperation in the field of labour and social protection has been shaped and efforts by the embassy will be expanded in the upcoming period.

The exchange of views on future cooperation in the field of labour and social protection between the two countries was held at the meeting.
