July 3, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with the accident at the Mingachevir hydropower plant (country’s main source of electricity), today there are also problems with water supply in the capital.

Water operator Azersu’s spokesman Anar Jabrailli stated that water purification and supply in water treatment plants Kur and Jeyranbatan has been suspended.

"The water supply will be restored during the day," he emphasized.

At night from 2 to 3 July, the territory of entire Azerbaijan was de-energized because of the failure of one of the transformers of the Mingachevir hydro-electric power station, the main source of country’s electricity. Power supply has been restored partially.
