$100 million worth goods to be supplied annually to Turkey from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on duty-free conditions

Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev has taken part in a business forum in the Turkish city of Igdir.

Addressing to the forum Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci of Turkey has stated that in accord with Turkish Cabinet Ministers’ decision goods produced in Nakhchivan and having potential production in NAR (on 43 names - 13 agricultural products and 30 industrial goods) are exempt from import duties.

"This decision will contribute to the expansion of trade relations and development of the region. According to the decision, NAR-produced commodities for $100 million will be imported into the territory of Turkey on favorable terms," the minister said.

Minister Mustafayev pointed out that the decision is important from angle of expansion of export potential of NAR and for development of regions Igdir, Kars and Erzurum.
