Inflation in eurozone declined this September

September 29, Fineko/ The inflation rate in the eurozone fell in September to 4.3% year-on-year from 5.2% in August, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Eurostat.

On September 14, the European Central Bank raised its base rate to record 4.5% to curb inflation, and its head Christine Lagarde announced that the regulator intends to "keep the base rate at a prohibitively high level for a long time" with the aim of systematically reducing inflation in the euro area to a target of 2.1% in 2025.
