Era of red tape in compulsory insurance of motor vehicles ended in Azerbaijan

The Compulsory Insurers Bureau (CIB) of Azerbaijan has declared that validity of last paper policies on compulsory insurance of vehicle owners' civil liability has expired.

The Bureau informs that at 23:59 on 31 October was the deadline of insurance contracts for compulsory insurance of vehicle owner’s civil liability, concluded on paper carrier earlier (until 23:59, 31 October 2016) has finished.

"Thus, such policies issued on paper forms have been excluded fully from circulation," the CIB said.

Starting from 1 November 2016 contracts on compulsory third party car insurance are concluded solely in the form of e-document in the country.
