August 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan held a currency auction today.
"The Central Bank held the auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund. Following the currency auction, the weighted average rate was formed at the level of AZN/USD 1.7000," the CBA reported.
The weighted average rate was also AZN 1.7000 to the dollar during the previous currency auction on 7 August.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decree according to which the import of automobiles into the territory of Azerbaijan, whose operation exceeds 10 years will be restricted.
