August 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jul of the year Azerbaijani insurance companies collected AZN 459.9 million of premiums and paid AZN 145.9 million of compensations.

The Financial Markets Supervision Chamber informs that premiums on voluntary insurance amounted to AZN 334.5 million and compensation payments AZN 107.5 million, while on compulsory insurance the indicators amounted to AZN 125.4 million and AZN 38.4 million respectively.

"For the past 7 months 73% of premiums accounted for voluntary and 27% for compulsory insurance, while 74% of compensations for voluntary and 26% for compulsory insurance," the Chamber reported.

Azerbaijan is numbering 21 insurance companies.
