September 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Digital Tax Administration Department has been established at the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan.

The Ministry reports that the Department was set up to ensure transparency of activity of tax authorities, create a favorable business climate, and strengthen fight against corruption and other negative factors.

"The Department will work over introduction of electronic tax administration, improvement of its technological level, carry out remote tax services, ensure exchange of operational information, to manage the information security system, provide the secrecy of information relating to taxpayers," the Ministry informed.

The Department has two offices – on remote services to taxpayers and on information security.
