The Committee reports that during the meeting the parties discussed the matter of improvement of ICT in the customs sphere.

SCC head Safar Mehdiyev pointed out that the share of information technologies in increasing the export potential of Azerbaijan is low, and the main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the problems, proposals and opinions of entrepreneurs in this area, as well as to discuss ways out of the situation.

At the same time Mehdiyev said that the Committee increased the number of services provided through the e-government portal and for Jan-Aug of the year the number of users of e-services exceeded 2.05 million people.

He also stressed that the tourist flow to Azerbaijan has increased much this year.

"Due to innovations in the field of information technology in customs sphere, especially at the airport, customs procedures and emerging questions of tourists found an operational solution, and there were no queues and loss of time," Mehdiyev emphasized.
