September 12, Fineko/abc.az.  The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources investigated the information on the creation of conditions for poachers from the Nabran section of the Caspian Sea to the city of Baku.
This territory belongs to the service area of the Sumgayit-Khachmaz region of the Department for Enrichment and Protection of Biodiversity of the MENR.
In accordance with the "Fisheries Act", the Department permitted to hunt fish in the same watercourse, except for fish species included in the "Red Book" during the period January 01 - May 01, September 1 - December 31, 2018.
In 2018, one legal entity and 65 individuals were allowed to engage in industrial fishing with the "fishery ticket" in the Nabran section of the Caspian Sea. During 8 months of 2018 employees of the department revealed 18 illegal fishing, 9 other floating vehicles, 933 hunting rifles were taken.
Documents were sent to the law-enforcement agencies for collection of fines and legal action against 14 law-breakers. Measures are being taken to prevent illegal fishing.
