September 14, Fineko/abc.az. During the meeting Azerbaijani Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov expressed confidence that the visit of the Israeli Defence Minister to Azerbaijan will play an important role in the further expansion of bipartite relationships.
"Currently, Azerbaijani-Israeli relationships are at a high level. Our countries are cooperating in different spheres. After the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence, we have established good links between the two countries," the PM said.

The PM stressed the importance of high-level mutual visits and meetings in the development of Azerbaijani-Israeli links, adding that both countries are interested in development of these relationships. He underlined that development of ties between the two countries is also important from angle of regional and international security.

Emphasizing the existence of good and strong relations between their countries for many years, the defense minister focused on the special role of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of these relations. Currently, these relationships are developing thanks to the efforts of the heads of both countries.
In the meeting the parties exchanged views on expansion of cooperation and exchange of experience in the military sphere, as well as in agriculture, tourism and other spheres.
