September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Akhmedov met with a delegation led by Deputy Chancellor of Austria Heinz-Christian Strahe.
Akhmedov stressed this visit would promote to further development of existing relationships between the two countries. He pointed out that after restoration of the independence of Azerbaijan the two countries’ reps paid mutual visits both at the level of presidents and other governing bodies. The steps taken contributed to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
In his turn, Mr. Strache said he had visited Azerbaijan for the first time and expressed his admiration for the beauty of our capital. He emphasized hi country intends to cooperate with Azerbaijan in many areas and conveyed the greeting of the Austrian leadership to the Azerbaijani side. 
Underlining the similarity of our countries, the Deputy Chancellor of Austria noted that both countries are pursuing pragmatic policy and security policy.
Touching upon the matter of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the guest noted that he is a supporter of the peaceful settlement of this problem.
