Baku Metro intends to save state finances

November 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Metro is taking steps to expand its technical capabilities, in particular the maintenance of the trains.

At the event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Baku Metro its head Zaur Huseynov has stated that earlier the repair of the Baku Metro trains was carried out mainly outside the country, particularly in Tbilisi.

"Now repairs of the trains will be conducted in the Narimanov depot, where all the necessary conditions have been created. That will enable to reduce costs and save state finances in large sizes," Huseynov said.

He added that it was repaired 520 cars in 2014, 212 cars in 2015, and 152 cars in 2016.
