Interest rate on subsidized loans for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan to be cut to 5%

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has announced additional simplification of conditions of subsidized financing for entrepreneurship. 
Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mammadov has stated that loans are given to entrepreneurs through the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund (NESF).
"Previously, the Fund gave preferential loans at interest rate of 7%. Then the rate was reduced to 6% and now the rate will be lowered to 5%, 1% of which will go to the Fund and 4% to agent banks," Mammadov said.
He pointed out that the amount of loans will be from AZN 5,000 to AZN 50,000 for the period of 3 years, from AZN 50,000 up to AZN 1 million for 5 years, and large loans from AZN 1 million up to AZN 10 million for 10 years.
