October 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan-Russia workgroup on cooperation in the field of electricity are to hold a meeting.

The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan informs that the meeting will be organized tomorrow within the framework of forum "Russian Energy Week".

"During the meeting the parties will cover the questions of the 2nd phase of high-voltage power line, study of hydropower resources of the Samur River, cooperation between Azerenergy (electric supply operator in Azerbaijan) and "System operator of unified energy system", improvement of channels of communication between the two countries," the MoE said in a statement.

In the workgroup’s meeting the Azerbaijani side will be represented by Deputy Energy Minister Natig Abbasov and the Russian party by Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky.
