Azerbaijani government announces refusal from budget revenues amid tax system reforming

November 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government has announced large-scale tax reforms in 2019.

In the course of the Milli Majlis debates on Draft State Budget 2019 Finance Minister Samir Sharifov stated that this is quite a risky step, which implies the factual refusal from part of the budget revenues for a certain period.

"The measures will be taken to ensure the transparency of the economy and the gradual elimination of the shadow economy. For that, we’ll encourage entrepreneurs to back this step. We’ve already considered the question of distribution of social contributions between employees and the employer,” the minister emphasized.
