Protocol on lower freight rates within Trans-Caspian International Transport Route signed in Baku today

November 15, Fineko/abc.az. A meeting of the International Association on Trans-Caspian International Transport Route has been conducted in Baku today.

Azerbaijani Railways’ (ADY) chairman Javid Gurbanov says that during the meeting the parties covered the prospects of the route in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Kazakhstan, a guarantee of safety and timeliness of transportation via the route, particularly on the territory of Azerbaijan.

"Following the meeting a Protocol concerning the reduction of freight rates has been signed. The new rates will be published already today on the websites of relevant organizations of all the parties of the Protocol," Gurbanov said.
