November 21, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan has unveiled statistics on the flow of tourists to the country.

According to the Agency, 2.415 million tourists visited the country for Jan-Oct that is by 6.1% more against the 2017 same term figure.

"Most of tourists or 31.3% came to the country from Russia. They are followed by tourists from Georgia - 20.4%, Middle East 13.8%, Turkey 10.1%, and Iran about 9%. The flow of tourists from the Middle East grew by 42% and Asia by 56.7%, while the flow from Iran fell by 33% and from Turkey by 2.5% compared to the relevant period of 2017," the Agency said.

The STAA informs that 212,000 people visited Azerbaijan in October of the year that is by 3.5% more versus last October.
