Oil produced from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oilfield block reached 22 million tons for Jan-Sept 2018

November 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept of the year 161 million barrels or 22 million tons of oil were extracted from oilfield block Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG).

BP-Azerbaijan reports that average daily oil production for the first 9 months of this year amounted to 588,000 bpd of oil.

"An average of 47,000 bpd of oil was produced from Chirag platform for Jan-Sept 2018, 156,000 bpd from Central Azeri, 126,000 bpd from Western Azeri, 97,000 bpd from Eastern Azeri, 105,000 bpd from deepwater Gunashli, and 57,000 bpd from Western Chirag," it was reported.

ACG project operating expenditures totaled $367 million and capital expenditures $825 million.

In accord with the contract UK’s BP project operator’s equity stake is 30.37%. Other shareholders are SOCAR (25%), US’ Chevron (9.57%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), India’s ONGC (2.31%), Japan’s Inpex Corp. (9.31%) and ITOCHU Oil (3.65%), Norway’s Statoil (7.27%), and Turkey’s TPAO (5.73%).
