December 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes does not expect a serious decrease in revenues as a result of introduction of a single simplified tax rate and tax holidays on income tax.

Samira Musayeva, director general of the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Taxes, stated at the briefing that at the same time the Ministry does not plan to refuse fully from simplified tax or introduction of a new tax (simplified tax rate is set at the level of 2% throughout the country).

"As for reduction of budget revenues as a result of application of income tax benefits, serious losses are not expected even in the most pessimistic scenario. Since these benefits are applied only in informal and non-transparent labor relations, there will be no serious losses, but on the contrary, it will lead to the legalization of labor rights," Musayeva believes.
