December 5, Fineko / abc.az. From January to November, more than 8.1 million international travelers visited Georgia, which is 11% more than in the same period of 2017.

According to the head of the National tourism administration of the country Georgy Chogovadze, the number of tourist visits for 11 months amounted to more than 4.4 million, which is 17.2% more than last year.

"According to preliminary data, in January-October the income from foreign tourism amounted to $ 2.8 billion (growth +19.9%), which is $468 million more compared to the same period last year", - G. Chogovadze.

According to the National tourism administration, the top five leaders who visited the country was led by the citizens of Russia – 341 1 127 people, with an annual growth of 23.8%. Second place went to tourists from Azerbaijan – 1 311 907 people, whose number grew over the year by 9.8%. Next on the list are citizens of Armenia, Turkey and Iran.
