Azerbaijan to take tough measures in respect to law-breaking customs officers this year

January 30, Fineko/abc.az. Strict measures are to be taken this year in respect to customs officers who violated law.
The statement was made by State Customs Committee’s chair Safar Mehdiyev.

He pointed out that criminal proceedings were initiated against several customs officers and they were released from their positions as a result of some cases of corruption revealed last year. 
"Customs officers should always be faithful to their profession and carry out their activity within the framework of customs legislation. Either, entrepreneurs should not encourage customs officers to corruption," Mehdiyev stressed.
