President Ilham Aliyev: SOCAR oil & gas extraction should remain stable

January 30, Fineko/abc.az. At the conference on the State Program of Socio-Economic Development of the Regions President Ilham Aliyev stated that work in the oil industry has always been in the spotlight. 

"Mega-projects are underway here. But at the same time, domestic production, that is, oil and gas production conducted by SOCAR should remain stable. Last year Azerbaijan produced 38.8 million tons of oil and 30 bn cu m of gas. Large projects have been implemented. I’m sure realization of the Southern Gas Corridor Project to be put into operation in 2020 will bring additional revenues to Azerbaijan," the head of state stressed.
