February 4, Fineko/abc.az. JSC RZD Logistics, the largest multimodal logistics operator in the CIS and Baltic countries, and Container Corporation of India Ltd (Concor), India’s largest operator of railway container shipments, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

RZD Logistics reports that the Memorandum was signed by CEO Viacheslav Valentik on behalf of RZD Logistics and Chairman & Managing Director Kalyana Rama on behalf of Container Corporation of India Ltd.

“The document says about exploring logistics opportunities in Russia, India and International Transport Corridors (ITC), including to the North-South ITC,” the Company informs.

First of all, the parties agreed to join efforts in the improvement of logistics cooperation between Russia and India and to develop high-potential projects in the area of container shipments between the countries. The parties are also planning to work on new top-quality logistic services designed to further increase the efficiency of the North-South International Transport Corridor, which is operated by RZD Logistics.

“Partnership with Concor opens strategic perspectives for the RZD Holding, making it possible for the company to strengthen its positions on Eurasian market of multimodal logistics by developing new joint logistics products for international trade. Turnover of goods between Russia and India is constantly growing and both countries are interested in developing modern logistics services, operating, in particular, along the North-South ITC – a promising project, which has already turned into one of the most important transport arteries of Eurasia and contributes to further collaboration between our countries,” Mr. Valentik said at the signing ceremony.
