European Commission blocks merger of railway units of Siemens and Alstom

February 6, Fineko/abc.az. The European Commission has blocked the proposal to merge the projects of German corporation Siemens and French concern Alstom in the field of railway engineering, the press service of the European Commission informed.

"The European Commission has blocked the merger in order to ensure competition in the European railway industry," the EC decision says.
