February 6, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is organizing a trade mission to Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Economy informs that on 4-5 February the Azerbaijani delegation led by Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev visited Uzbekistan, where a round table was held with participation of officials and entrepreneurs of the two countries.

"There is great potential for trade and economic links between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, particularly in such areas as energy, industry, agriculture, transport, trade, tourism, information & communication technologies, innovations. Azerbaijan is numbering 30 companies with Uzbek capital, and in 2018 trade turnover increased by 46.5%, but there is additional potential for increasing trade turnover," the minister said.

According to Mustafayev, with the purpose to realize this potential in the 2nd half of 2019 it is planned to organize a trade mission to Uzbekistan.
