Azerbaijan`s monetary base reduced almost by 9%

February 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) published volume of monetary base as of 1 February 2019.

The CBA reports that the monetary base amounted to AZN 8.709 bn on 1 February of the year versus AZN 9.545 bn by 1 January 2019 and AZN 8.76 bn on 1 February 2018.

Thus, the monetary base decreased by 8.8% compared to the 2018 same period and by 0.6% compared to the previous year’s same term.

The growth of the monetary base in 2018 made up 12% or AZN 1.002 bn.
