February 25, Fineko/abc.az. Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider for the global travel and tourism industry, has announced the extension of cooperation with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).

The Company reports that due to the extension of the partnership between the two companies, travel agents and corporations connected to the Sabre trading platform will continue to enjoy the benefits of access to the best tariffs and products of the air carrier.

"The tourism market of Azerbaijan shows one of the fastest growth rates in the region. In 2018, the country was visited by more than 2.8 million tourists that is by 6% higher than the tourist flow a year earlier. The report of World Economic Forum "Competitiveness of Tourism & Travel" for 2017 says that Azerbaijan rose by 13 points compared to 2015, showing the best dynamics of the competitiveness index among all countries of the world. As the national carrier of Azerbaijan, AZAL plays an important role in this success. Today, the airline, founded in 1992, is numbering 23 aircrafts in its fleet and operates a route network that covers key cities in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia and Europe, as well as includes long-haul destinations in Asia and North America," it was reported.

Sabre and AZAL have been successfully cooperating since 2006, when the carrier first chose Sabre as a global distribution partner. Despite the growing demand for its domestic and international flights, the airline is still focused on providing passengers with the best quality service.
