February 27, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro Company has announced plans on upgrade of its wagon fleet.

BMC reports that one of the successful directions of activity for the last 5 years is the organization of overhaul of metro cars.

"Starting from 2014 the repairs of cars is carried out in the modernized shop that allowed not only to cut expenses, but also to strengthen the personnel potential," the underground spokesman said.

The number of cars of modern type bought since 2015 has been increased up to 25, and this year the car park will be replenished by 30 more wagons.

"Over the next five years the process will be continued and the fleet of Baku Metro locomotives will be renewed fully as well,” BMC spokesman emphasized.
