March 1, Fineko/abc.az. Tesla has switched fully to online sales in order to bring the retail price of basic electric car ‘Model 3’ up to $35,000 ahead of schedule.

Tesla reports that now two versions of ‘Model 3’ are sold for $35,000 and $37,000. The second version provides for an increase of 9% for the driving range without recharging and the power of the engine, a new interior. These advantages will cost only by 6% more for the consumer.

"In order to achieve such prices while maintaining profitability, Tesla transfers sales of its products in the world exclusively in online regime," stressed the Company, promising that the procedure for buying its electric cars from a cell phone in North America will now take about one minute. It will take no more than seven days to return the car in case of customer dissatisfaction.

Model 3 is a budget version of the more expensive Model X and Model S. In its basic configuration the car is able to travel 220 miles (about 350 km) without recharging. Its maximum speed is 210 km/h and acceleration time up to 100 km/h takes less than 6 seconds.
