Energy Minister: Azerbaijan to keep on supporting OPEC initiatives

March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the 13th Ministerial Meeting of the OPEC Joint Monitoring Committee is taking place in Baku.

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov of Azerbaijan stated during the meeting that Azerbaijan will continue to support measures aimed at ensuring the stability of the world energy market.

"As a result of cooperation within OPEC+, positive trends have been observed in the global market," said the minister, who also stressed the importance of holding the meeting in Baku.

He pointed out that although Azerbaijan does not supply large volumes to the world market, it plays an important role in ensuring the energy security of the region.
