March 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has put into circulation a new banknote with denomination of 10 manats from 18 March 2019.

"Despite the fact that 13 years have passed since the last denomination in Azerbaijan, banknotes on their appearance, conceptuality, modernity and degree of security have not lost their actuality. However, currently there are many innovations in the world in the field of creation and production of coins with wide application of nano - and microtechnologies," the CBA reported.

In this regard, the CBA has developed a design of a banknote of 10 manats dedicated to the “History of Azerbaijan" with the modernization of security elements.

Earlier in May 2018 Azerbaijan put into circulation the bill with denomination of 200 manats.

Currently, Azerbaijan is applying banknotes with denomination of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50,100 and 200 manats in circulation.
