Russian Industry Minister: Azerbaijani and Russian industrialists to jointly develop third countries’ markets

April 4, Fineko/abc.az. The business mission of Russian industrial enterprises has arrived in Baku today.

Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev has stated that about 200 representatives of industrial enterprises are taking part in the meeting.

"We expect practical results from today's meeting. Following the results of this meeting, it is expected to sign documents that will become the basis for development of cooperation between the industrialists of Azerbaijan and Russia," the minister said.

He pointed out that Russia is the main economic partner of Azerbaijan and ranks 1st in the country's exports. At the end of 2018 two countries’ trade turnover exceeded $2.5 billion with an annual growth of 12%.

In his turn, Russian Minister of Industry & Trade Denis Manturov stated that the meeting was attended by 60 representatives of Russian industrial enterprises.

"There are great prospects for development of relationships between Azerbaijani and Russian industrial businesses. The purpose of this mission is not only the development of the Azerbaijani market, but also the creation and implementation of joint projects to enter the third countries," Manturov emphasized.
