April 5, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Feb of the year the insurance companies operating in the country collected insurance premiums for AZN 132.8 million and paid compensations for AZN 33.1 million.

The Financial Market Supervision Authority reports that voluntary insurance premiums amounted to AZN 103.9 million and compensation payments AZN 21.3 million. Compulsory insurance premiums totaled AZN 28.9 million and compensation payments AZN 11.8 million.

For the first two months of this year 78.2% of total insurance premiums accounted for voluntary and 21.8% for compulsory insurance. 64.4% of insurance compensations accounted for voluntary and 35.6% for compulsory insurance.
